The Saxon Football Association (SFV) is the umbrella organisation for organised football in Saxony and is one of the largest and most traditional state associations of the German Football Association (DFB). With around 320,000 members in over 1,000 clubs, the SFV has been actively promoting football in the region for decades - from the grassroots to the top. Special attention is paid to the development of young players, the promotion of women's and girls' football and the training of coaches and referees. Through regular tournaments, training and further education programmes and close cooperation with clubs, the SFV makes a decisive contribution to strengthening amateur and professional football in Saxony.
