Ballfreunde is passionately committed to promoting youth football in Hesse and supports the development of young talent in a variety of ways. Their focus is on organising international youth football tournaments that offer players and clubs special opportunities. "Football for the next generation is our motivation! We want to offer children and young people an experience that they will remember for a very long time. Together with the HFV, we can create these moments," explains Fabian Ziethmann from Ballfreunde. "Young people are our future! With strong partners, we can expand this foundation even further and also continue to focus on the football variant futsal," says Carsten Well, the association's youth manager. In 2024, Ballfreunde organised 34 tournaments with over 65,000 participants from 31 different nations. These tournaments are open to teams of all levels from U8 to U19 and offer clubs from all over the world the opportunity to compete in a friendly and enriching sporting environment. The focus is on enjoying the game together and making new friends. Through their international tournaments, the Ballfreunde promote intercultural exchange and support the further development of young players in Hesse. They are driven by the conviction that football brings people together and are delighted to make a significant contribution to regional and global youth football through these events.
