The C and D youth leagues of the Dresden Football Association have been given a new name and will be called Ballfreunde.de in future. With Ballfreunde, the largest tournament organiser in Germany, the SVFD has gained a strong partner that is actively committed to youth football in Dresden. "The partnership with ballfreunde.de is a great opportunity to enhance the competitions for our young players. Together with Ballfreunde, we will offer the young players a platform on which they can develop and live out their passion for football," said SVFD Vice President Marcus Nitzsche. The company from the municipality of Wentorf near Hamburg will organise a total of 34 international youth tournaments in 2025, in which over 65,000 players from 31 nations will take part. These tournaments offer youth teams from U8 to U19 the opportunity to compete in a fair and friendly sporting environment.
